About the artist
Dan McMahon is a designer from Brooklyn, NY with a BFA in Three Dimensional Design from Camberwell College of Arts in London. Working intimately with materials and having the opportunity to play and experiment with making are vital to his design process. Simultaneously, working with manufacturers offers inspiration in the constraints, opportunities, and history found in industrial production methods across materials and regions.
In his self initiated work, he strives to create objects that drive the development of craft and a deeper understanding of materiality, an ongoing process that is endlessly inspiring and humbling.
