About the artist
Lisa Max is a multimedia artist based in New York City. She graduated with a BFA from the Art Institute of Chicago, where she studied animation, ceramics, woodworking, and metalworking. She is interested in intimate objects that can share unexpected excitement and awe, striving to create small and precious moments that become lasting memories. Recently, her focus has been on incorporating digital processes, such as CNC milling, into her practice of creating kinetic and animated wooden objects.
