About the artist
Hypersurface Studio is an NYC-based industrial design and mechanical engineering studio founded by Michael Wong. The studio leverages experience in the entire product creation process to transform innovative ideas and technologies into products across several industries, including robotics, food, and wellness tech. In addition to commercial work, the studio also creates experimental objects for the purpose of extrapolating near-future states of design and craft. These address subjects such as the relationship between emerging technology and traditional craft, distributed manufacturing, and computational design. The two sides of the practice exist symbiotically.
