About the artist
Jessica Hyun Song (b.2003) is a designer and a maker from South Korea and Bay Area, California, who is currently based in Providence, Rhode Island. Here in Providence, Jessica is in her last year at Rhode Island School of Design, pursuing a BFA in Furniture Design. Jessica creates drawings that explore domestic landscapes and designs structural frames for them to rest on, transcending the categorization of the two- and three-dimensional objects. There are a lot of paintings on the wall and furniture on the floor, but not so much in between--through her works, she seeks to find a place where both can reside in harmony.
