JONALDDUDD is an independently organized exhibition of design-based works that prioritize personal expression and formal exploration over commercial conformity. Set against the backdrop of NYC Design Week (May 15-21), JONALDDUDD offers a platform for artists and designers making irreverent works that challenge both industry and cultural conventions.

We are excited to announce the beginning of our new guest curator program. In our undying quest to present the most outrageous, brazen, and butch-craft works across the spectrum of design, we are excited to announce the continuation of our curator in residence program. JONALDDUDD is now partnering with artists and designers whose work and attitude further amplifies the show’s contrarian ethos.
With that in mind we are pleased to present this year’s Guest Curators, Chen Chen & Kai Williams – a design studio rooted in curiosity and innovation, redefining the possibilities of material and form. With a flair for invention, the studio pioneers unconventional techniques and reimagines everyday industrial materials, crafting them into unexpected, extraordinary applications.
2025 Guidelines
Eligibilty
Designers/artists are invited to submit up to three pieces for consideration:
- Works of all mediums and methods will be considered
- All work must be new and not previously exhibited
- All submissions must be an original concept and execution and not a copy or reproduction
Submissions
Submissions are open from February 10th—MIDNIGHT APRIL 5TH, 2025.
- Early submission fee: $25 (until midnight March 20th)
- Later submission fee: $35 (March 21st—April 5th)
Exhibiting
JONALDDUDD 2025 will take place at the Starrett-Lehigh Building in Chelsea as part of the new design fair, Shelter presented by Afternoon Light.
- Participants will be responsible for shipping their work to and from NYC.
- An exhibition fee of $375 per exhibitor/studio is upon admission to confirm your participation. All fees directly support the exhibition’s production.
